Whether you plan to start medical billing business, have their own medical billing business, working in a medical office or billing service, it is important to fully understand the entire billing process. From the time a patient schedules an appointment to the time that full payment is received, all those who work with either the patient or the billing process may affect the payment. The billing is such an important part of a medical clinic. The money is being taken to the billing, which runs the agency’s work. Pay all salaries, including the doctor. Always amazes me that so many providers do not make sure that the billing to be done well and that the office staff is not all work together to move all of that needs to be. When the patient calls to schedule an appointment, it is important that the person is doing the schedule, not only will all the necessary information to the patient, but also to understand how the insurance so I can tell if something is done before the patient’s appointment. Having someone who understands the medical billing can reduce visits had not covered by insurance. The person actually responsible for submitting insurance claims to be familiar with the different requirements of each carrier and to understand how to deal with all aspects of billing. Not having paid insurance claims is an area that most agents lose a lot of money. If you are not very good monitoring system, it is surely lose money. Many healthcare providers believe that only the billing party must understand medical billing. Actually, it is important that all employees with some knowledge of insurance billing, in order to make things smooth. So much so, that the staff understands, the less money to throw out the door. Service providers deserve to be paid for all patients treated. Copyright 2008 – Michele Redmond
